I believe the tutoring is a two-way street where students learn from the tutor and tutors learn how to help students learn by seeing different perspectives of the material, which often helps tutors gain a better understanding of the subjects they teach as well. I focus on providing a learning environment that is relaxed and building trust with students so that they are comfortable to ask questions and make mistakes. Making mistakes is part of the learning process, and leads to quicker clarification and success. I enjoy tutoring students in English, music theory, ESL, and German. In my free time, I like to learn languages, hike, read, and travel.
