I hold a bachelors degree in German and a Masters degree in English with concentration in TESOL (Teaching English To Speakers of Other Langauages) from IUPUI. My GPA is 3.9
Experience
I am a native speaker of Russian. I was born and grew up in the former Soviet Union and I moved to the US in 2008. I have years of tutoring experience in English and recently started actively tutoring Russian (one-on-one in person and online through Skype). I am also teaching a Principles of Composition class to ESL students at IUPUI. I have always been passionate about learning languages and feel like my own learning experience helps me connect with my students and understand their challenges better. I tailor my teaching style to the student's goals and needs. Every individual is different in learning style/strategies preferences, so I work together with the student to put together a customized syllabus with realistic and manageable goals for a set timeframe.
